There is the term Té, which means power and great in the small. Or that even the slightest thing, whether it be a person and their attributes or a brief moment of time in nature during one of its splendid cycles is big. It’s powerful. It’s a profound moment or a profound action that hits home, and you may not have even seen it coming! It’s random acts of kindness and beauty, the help you may get from someone when you drop something and they pick it up for you. It’s stumbling on a scene that’s so unexpected and moving that you spend several minutes marveling at how lucky you are to witness it. It’s Té. Read my Substack article for more of what I’m talking about and see if you don’t start to see those moments too! https://open.substack.com/pub/scarletdarkwood/p/gratitude-in-the-small-things?r=6c13y&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Throwback Writing
Throwback writing. People have their throwbacks to everything, reminiscing over bygone days. Days when everything seemed simpler, more innocent. Some like to present throwbacks to fashion, hairstyles, music. What I haven’t seen much of is authors presenting the first story they ever wrote. Do you as readers ever wonder about that? Is The Erotica Genre A Good One?
Writing erotica in an interesting journey, but one I’m glad I took. I chose this genre for my first attempts at novel writing because of the theme I wanted to work with. I’ve already written about this topic in another post, “This Is Erotically Insane.” However, I’ve been reading erotica on and off for many…
Is Bigger Better?
I’m now writing the companion novel to Pleasure House, but a dear acquaintance of mine, Nymph Du Pave, suggested that I write some short stories featuring the characters in my novel that I’ve just released. Now I must admit, writing shorts is something I hadn’t really thought much about, considering I don’t read lots of shorts…

Why Fear & Judgement Hamstring Success
How Tarot Can Help “The enemy of success isn’t failure, it’s judgment”. A group admin posted this on Facebook this morning when she discovered how people react when things don’t go their way in running their business. Life throws a curveball, the numbers aren’t up, people aren’t that into you, and suddenly you’re upset because…
Crystal Chandeliers And Marble Halls
When I first saw this photograph by Christopher Payne, I was smitten like a starry-eyed schoolboy catching a glimpse of a pretty girl. This lobby of Yankton State Hospital was once pristine and beyond beautiful, I imagine. It’s so hard to believe that the old asylums for the mentally ill are dilapidated and condemned buildings now. Oh, it’s true that…
Erotica vs. Erotic Romance: An Arousing Conundrum
I learn something new all the time, and that’s the way it is with all of us, even the most experienced. Like I’ve probably mentioned before, I’ve been reading erotica off and on for many years, and I thought I knew what this genre was about. You see, I’ve read mixed reactions from readers of Erotica,…
