I’m usually the last to the party, it seems, when it comes to jumping on the bandwagon for the next hottest thing. The reason is because I’m either usually cautious, or I’m just not ready to make use of whatever it is that people are gravitating to. In this case, I’m referring to the social media platform, TikTok.
It seemed like TikTok was all the rage, but I had my reservations about it. It was only when I had a customer purchase a deck of tarot cards from my Etsy site (TheScarletMystic) that this social media site came up. She wanted to know if I had a TikTok account so she could do an unboxing of the deck and reference me. I still wasn’t sure I wanted to go this route.
Sooo, I decided to do what any tarot reader would do–pull a card and ask, “What do I need to know about starting a TikTok account?” And of all the cards, The Lovers came up! I didn’t know whether to laugh and blow off the answer or really consider it. But what the answer told me was that this social media site and I might become quite intimate and have a great time together, that we might actually be great partners.
As it turned out, I loved the site. It’s fun, smart, well-developed, and sophisticated. It gets you in front of a lot of people fast. For someone like me who wants to build up my YouTube Channel, this site can’t be beat. Also, the site itself is simply fun to use (and to watch).
The Lovers tarot card is about partnerships, possible love relationships–and choices. When we draw this card, we want to consider it’s position in the spread, or in the case of a one-card pull, what it could mean for us or a seeker. In all relationships, there are things we need to watch out for. Could this be a good partnership? Are we making a choice to be in this relationship for the right reasons, not just a momentary infatuation? In my case as a simple question, this card suggested that I put away my old prejudices against the site, throw caution to the wind, and give it shot. As it turns out, it’s the best move I ever made!
